Are you using Guerrilla Marketing?

Spread the Words

Many brands have effectively used guerilla marketing in their marketing campaign to add value to their campaign at little cost. The term guerilla marketing comes from “guerilla warfare” which refers to a non-tactical army, loosely organized, fighting a bigger, more organized force.

Guerilla marketing campaigns are highly targeted and innovative. They are not expensive and they happen where your target audience least expects it. And remember, it is not a replacement for your promotional ad…it’s add-on to create a buzz around your brand.

So, what makes for guerilla marketing? Well, it can be one or more of these:

  1. Street Marketing: Here, you can bring all street elements into play.
  2. Ambient Marketing where you promote a brand by interfering with the flow of things, for example, placing ads at unconventional places using innovative ideas.
  3. Event Ambush marketing where you promote your brand at another event.
  4. Experiential marketing which offers immersive, pop-up experiences to users to experience the brand.

An impactful environmental Guerrilla Marketing Campaign was for Save the tress where a giant cat was perched on the pole with a sign at the bottom “Save the trees.” Highly impactful!
